THe Brand
Super Coffee was founded by three brothers who were college athletes, experimenting with ways to create ready-to-drink coffee that wasn’t loaded with sugar to help power them through their days. The result was a great-tasting coffee drink with 0 grams of added sugar and 10 grams of protein. After an appearance on Shark Tank, Super Coffee’s growth exploded and hasn’t stopped since.
Challenge
The risks of slow lead times and fee complexity
As Super Coffee grew, they relied on a 3PL provider to manage order fulfillment. Inventory delays caused out-of-stock issues for 8 of their top 10 SKUs during peak holiday season. Poor execution on variety pack kitting, which was essential to their product’s success, made matters worse. On top of that, an increasingly complicated fee structure added costs without adding value. Pattern’s technology is marketplace-and carrier-agnostic, which allowed Super Coffee to easily expand to other marketplaces, including TikTok and Walmart. Pattern’s years of expertise allowed us to bring recommendations to Super Coffee on how to set up shipments and create a pack out process that minimized product damage. Pattern’s software and data helped Super Coffee understand key metrics to help them grow and scale.
